Jesus Built This Church
Do you ever just get to wandering bout the way things are today?
So many on board the gospel ship trying to row a different way
If we all pull together like a family me and you well come a lot closer to doing what the Lord wants us to do
Jesus built this church on love on love that’s what it’s all about trying to get everybody save not to keep anybody out the doors wide open and just as big as the fathers heart about I’m glad he said whosoever will Jesus built this church on love
When the shepherd found a lost sheep wonderin from the fold
In loving arms he held it He did not blame or scold now we should learn a lesson that would make our efforts blessed our methods and our message must be filled with tenderness
Everyday
You know a smile never goes out of style so (brighten up the one that you wear)
Let it shine and you just might find you’ll (lighten up the load that you bear)
You know with all the trouble and sorrow in the world it seems like the least we can do
Is take that smile into the streets and share it with everybody you meet
Everyday (everyday) I wanna shake somebody’s hand
Everyday (everyday) I wanna make somebody know (that thinks they can’t) yes that they can
Everyday (everyday) I wanna try (I wanna try) to show my brothers and my sisters that I wanna help them along the way everyday, everyday
You know a kind word never goes unheard but (too often goes unsaid)
Of the old and the young swallowed up with pride instead
You know with all the trouble and sorrow in the world it seems like the least we can do
Is take a kind word into the streets and share it with everybody you meet
If there lost I wanna (show them the sunshine)
If they’re tossed I wanna (throw them a lifeline)
I wanna reach out my hand (reach out a hand too hold)
Ooo yeah and let em know (let em know) there’s a light (there a light) down at the end of the road
Somebody Died For Me
He was a troubled kid in and out of jail
When his daddy said this is the last time I’ll pay bail
He enlisted in the army and they sent him to Iraq
He was a different man when he came back
Somebody said the army must’ve whipped you into shape
But he said that’s not the reason that I’ve changed
Somebody died for me (before I even asked for help)
Gave his life for me (when I couldn’t save myself)
I cannot live the way I lived or be the way I was
Every day’s a gift to me because (somebody died for me)
Now they fold the flag and attach a silver star
While the grieving mother leans against his arm
Then he stands before the family and does his best to tell
How he survived the night his best friend fell
He says no one who knew him was surprised he died that way
He tried to live for Jesus oh he always used to say
And I don’t wanna waste a moment
Of the time I have left
With every breath I’m given
God help me not forget
Amazed At The Change
I’m amazed at the change overwhelmed at his power to save
Overcome by a love that stays so amazed at the change
If you could see the man I was youd believe in a saving touch
That could reach down where I was youd be amazed at the change
Saul was walkin travelin’ down a dusty road
toward Damascus bearing a heavy load
God broke threw the darkness
and showed his love with a heavenly light
Saul said I’ve never felt this way I’m amazed at the change
I was a sinner living without hope at all
until the savior listened and he heard my call
Changed me forever and now the old things are past away
no matter how long its been I’m still amazed
Do You Know, That You Know?
What if the Lord came back today?
Would you be ready to go or would you have to stay?
Does he live within your heart has He taken full control
Do you know, that you know, that you know?
Have you thought about forever will he find your name on the Heavenly roll?
Do you have some indecision do you have reservations are you ready to go
I was wonderin in the darkness lost forever I was searching for light Till I heard about a Savior then He brought salvation and made everything right
One day there will be a judgment every one will answer for there immortal soul I long to be with you in Heaven do you know that you really know
When The Trumpet Sounds
When the trumpet sound we’ll be called away
To a place so grand land of perfect day
With our cares behind only joy to find
As we leave the ground when the trumpet sounds
We can hear the constant sound of trouble wars and pain
We can hear distressing news that falls on us like rain
We can hear this old world as it murmurs creeks and groan
But we’re listening for the sound that calls us home
We have turned our watching eyes toward the eastern sky
We’ll be sure to hear it when it comes our time to fly
We will shed these binding chains of flesh that has us bound
And we’ll fly like eagles when the trumpet sounds
One Drop Of Blood
Let me Tell You the story of God’s amazing grace
How one man died to save the whole Human race
Through the years it seems impossible I know
But the grace of god from Calvary still flows
Sacrifice hanging there upon the tree Jesus died shed His blood for you and me
Though millions come to the cross to be set free still their remains
One drop of blood for me
The path to the cross is a well-trodden way
And I wondered if time had washed the blood all away
But this fountain of grace is still flowing free surely
There remains one drop of blood for me
God’s Home
God don’t come in the buildin’
Til the people come in the buildin’
He don’t live in granite, wood, or stone
He lives in an ole tabernacle
Covered over with flesh and bone
It takes a heart not a house if you wanna make God a home
God’s home in the days of the prophets
Was over in the Ark of the Covenant
In a cloud by day and a pillar of fire in the night
Oh now he lives in the hearts of his children
In the person of the Holy Spirit
Aren’t you glad you walk by faith and not by sight?
I’m workin’ on a buildin’
It’s a true foundation
I’m holdin’ up the bloodstain banner for my Lord
What A Wonderful Day
What a wonderful day when I cross the Jordan
I’ll walk the shore with friend’s I’ve known
My whole life’s dream will be there before me
The tree of life, the endless day, and the savior I’ll see
I’ll walk on streets of purest gold
I’ll hear the half that’s never been told
Praise God I’ll see all the saints of old
On that wonderful day when those gates unfold
The Day Of Our Lord
For darkness shall cover the sun the moon gives no light and the star shall fall
The rumble of heaven tells all it’s the day of our lord
The tribes of the earth, they shall mourn, as signs shall give notice of Jesus’ return
In power and glory he comes, it’s the day of our Lord
Rejoice o’ ransomed of God
Jesus will surely come
He comes like a thief in the night
The lamps of the wise still burning bright
Displayed in his power and might
The day of our Lord
Two men are working the field
One is still working while one disappears
The man left now cries out in tears
It’s the day of our Lord
So watch for his return Jesus will surely come
And Jesus Christ himself shall come again just as he left
So watch the eastern sky redemption is nigh’
He’s coming the king is coming
I just the trumpet sounding and now his face I see |
